At Di Micheli, lunch is a real moment of Italian cuisine, with no shortcuts. Since our family trattoria opened in September 2021, our team of five has welcomed regulars and visitors passing through Aix-en-Provence, at lunch and dinner alike. At midday, you'll find the same standards as at dinner: Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, homemade fresh pasta and fresh produce, served on Place des Cardeurs, in the very heart of the pedestrian centre.
Our menu is deliberately kept tight. We prefer to offer fewer dishes, but prepared with fresh produce and no frozen pasta. Our pizza dough ferments for 48 hours at 70% hydration before spending a few seconds in the wood-fired oven heated to 450°, which makes it lighter and easier to digest, perfect for a lunch you want hearty without being heavy. Every plate is made to order, so your midday break keeps all its flavour.
Lunch suits a one-to-one meal just as well as a moment with colleagues or family. Indoors or on our 20-seat terrace, you enjoy a simple, warm setting a stone's throw from the historic centre of Aix-en-Provence. For groups, our private room seating 24 and our tailor-made menus make it easy to organise a corporate or family lunch without a false note.
